Let's dance!

Online Workshops and LATE NIGHT SHUFFLE

on 17. and 18. April we’re hosting a kind-of mini festival online!

First we stream three workshops: Jep Meléndez from Tenerife teaches a body percussion course for beginners without prior knowledge, as well as a more complex course that combines body percussion with dynamic movements and short choreographies.

Before that, you could try out the company’s new training method with Sebastian Weber: Kick Ass Ball Change

In addition, our LATE NIGHT SHUFFLE is going into the second round! Saturday, 17. April at 8:15 pm, again from the LOFFT – Das Theater

SWDC expands

Two more dancers in 2021

In view of increasing guest performances and newly planned productions, the company will expand by two dancers from 2021. Fantastic colleagues from all over Europe have responded to our audition call. We are very happy about this and invited nine applicants to a two-day audition workshop in Leipzig at the beginning of the year.

Ground Control - Our new headquarter

A TANZPAKT.RECONNECT grant enables us to build our own infrastructure! The most prominent manifestation will be our own rehearsal stage in Leipzig, where we will not only develop our pieces, but will also invite to workshops, showings and the new formats of our COMMUNITY & OUTREACH program. And all of this on a real wooden floor – a dream come true for tap dancers!

Even more important for us is the development of a strong administrative team. Through professionalized structures in production management, public relations and management, we can tackle long-term projects that were previously two sizes too big for us.

Still, it won’t be easy: with a shortened funding period until next October, TANZPAKT.RECONNECT is an explosive kick start, which we must transform into a sustainable perspective within a year. Nevertheless: we are optimistic and are pleased much about the chance.

And we hope to be able to welcome you soon in our own rooms!
