School project

We invite students to develop their own movements and choreographies in a workshop on the rehearsal stage of the company.

Our school project consists of three parts: first we visit the music class at school with one or two dancers, then the students come to the theater for a performance or dress rehearsal. There they are welcomed by the house team, meet the entire cast, and have the opportunity for questions and feedback after the performance. In the third part, the students are invited to develop their own movements and choreographies in a workshop on the rehearsal stage of the company. In doing so, they get to know the methods and concepts of the Sebastian Weber Dance Company first hand.

Our school project was developed together with Ulrike Klappstein, the music teacher of the Markkleeberg High School, and is carried out there with the eighth grades. It can be adapted to other schools.
