CABOOM connects the musical punch of tap with the visual power of contemporary dance: a hammering, passionate, rough piece about chaos in life and society.
Chaos arises when situations become unpredictable. When plans are shattered by surprise or catastrophe, when everything happens at once or all turns out differently than expected. Chaos makes individuals and whole societies tumble. Chaos is upsetting and energizing, seductive and powerful, a catalyst of change and progress.
CABOOM follows the creative potential of chaos in a multilayered composition for five dancers.
press quotes about CABOOM
A grandiose evening. The new piece of the Sebastian Weber Dance Company will knock over pretty much any preconceived image of tap dance one might have.
[…] no matter if it is minimal steps at the beginning or end, or spacious, intense eruptions in between, or the duets that tell stories with nothing but bodies and possibly some facial expressions.
This is full of devotion and energy, precision and good ideas. This is frantic, captivating, and by the way entirely outstanding.
